Formative Evaluation - ANSWER - Ongoing using a step by step process and occurs while the program is
in progress
- Staff can make changes on a daily or weekly basis dependent on what the evaluation data indicates
- Allows for immediate adjustments to ensure desired outcomes
-Leads to immediate change; room temp, supplies
EX. question: Are there enough resources for the remainder of the program?
Summative Evaluation - ANSWER - Overall assessment of a program
- A decision to continue or discontinue is imminent
- Conducted at the end of a program and can be used to compare programs or provide information for
the next session of programming
- The program is completely finished when the data is collected and analyzed
Ways to collect evaluation data - ANSWER - Questionnaires
- By observation
- Record documentation
Quality Improvement - ANSWER - Is the most common method of evaluating TR services and is
mandated by external accreditation agencies
Utilization Review - ANSWER - Program in a clinical agency attempts to demonstrate or document how
