tell us about yourself - ANSWER -during my undergraduate career, I worked as a
writing tutor, completed an internship with the Brockton Police Department, and was
selected for a research externship with Butler Hospital where I assisted in a longitudinal
study of OCD. I also conducted independent research about how youths are functionally
impaired by OCD
-I also studied abroad in granada, spain where I lived with a host family who didn't
speak english and took all classes in spanish. I wanted to fully immerse myself in the
spanish language and culture. my conversational spanish skills are much stronger as a
result of this experience
-graduated Magna Cum Laude from Stonehill College with my Bachelor's in Criminology
and Psychology and a minor in Spanish.
-after graduating from stonehill, I worked as a VWA for MDAO for 1.5 years in LDC.
Here, I assisted DV Vs in reducing the level of secondary injury associated with the
aftermath of crimes. here I assessed high risk DV cases, helped Vs connect with
available resources, and guided them through the CJ process
-while I loved what I did at the MDAO, I realized I wanted to go back to school and that
this job was too mentally demanding to allow me to be a VWA and a student. as a
result, I looked for ABA therapist positions because the I have experience in this field
too and know that the work schedules are more flexible and casework is easier to
manage
-here implement individualized treatments for clients with autism. I help them develop
skills sets that will allow them to reduce their maladaptive behaviors and achieve
greater independence in their lives
-I am also enrolled as a part time student in Suffolk university's MPA program. my
objective is to expand and develop the KSAs needed to be an effective manager and
