Decrease Wait Times in The Emergency Department
In this paper we will discover how to decrease wait times in the Emergency Department.
We will implement the process of change by doing pre-approved protocol on patients in the
lobby. Protocols are standard orders the physicians put in place for each patient health complaint.
Completing these protocols will give the doctors results of labs, electrocardiogram, Xray, and
other test specific to the complaint, prior to seeing the patient. This will decrease the wait times
in the Emergency Department.
