1. Conduct a study on Nursing Care Delivery Models & Staff Turnover and Burnout. Write a
paper referencing your study
Nursing care delivery models are the organizational structures that define how nurses provide care to
patients. They can affect the quality, safety, and efficiency of nursing care, as well as the satisfaction and
retention of nurses. Staff turnover and burnout are common challenges in the nursing profession,
especially in high-demand settings such as hospitals and long-term care facilities. Turnover and burnout
can have negative consequences for patient outcomes, organizational performance, and nurse well-being.
In this paper, I will conduct a study on the relationship between nursing care delivery models and staff
turnover and burnout. I will use a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data
from surveys, interviews, and observations. I will compare four different models of nursing care
delivery: team nursing, primary nursing, patient-centered care, and case management. I will examine
how these models affect the following variables: nurse-patient ratios, workload, autonomy, collaboration,
communication, continuity of care, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, intention to leave, and
burnout levels. I will also explore the contextual factors that influence the implementation and
effectiveness of each model.
The aim of this study is to provide evidence-based recommendations for nursing managers and
policymakers on how to select and implement the most appropriate nursing care delivery model for their
settings and goals. I will also identify the best practices and challenges for each model, as well as the
implications for nurse education and training. By conducting this study, I hope to contribute to the
improvement of nursing care quality and outcomes, as well as the retention and well-being of nurses.
2. You are nursing student working in the ICU and the nurse manager (NM) asked you to
attend a meeting. The director of nursing in a meeting has mentioned an issue that it has
been happened recently in oncology wards. The issue is about nurses getting a sick leave
more frequent which is affecting patients care quality. The discussion with the NMs reflects
several assumptions before gathering the data. These assumptions could be stressful work
environment, lack of the teamwork, over loaded assignments or any other reasons. I
suggested to have suggestions boxes where the staff can put the reasons of their frequent
sick leaves, concerns, unhappiness or suggestions (without putting their names). The box
was placed in the palliative care unit as trial, the suggestion box idea was explained to the
staff ,they were instructed to put their concerns within three hours. Then, the box was taken
to the NM office to open and read their papers. We found out some has a health issues like
back pain. Some mentioned that they do not feel appreciated by the NM, unfairness
