Evergreen Middle School in Central Valley School District students scored pro昀椀cient or above at a
rate of 54% for ELA and 48.9% for Math. This is signi昀椀cantly higher than the state middle school
rates at 48.2% and 35.3% respectively. It is also higher than the district middle school pro昀椀ciency
rates of 48.6% for ELA and 37.5% for math. However, students from low-income families at
Evergreen scored pro昀椀cient or better at much lower rates, 32.5% for ELA and 27.8% for math. This
distinction is even more stark when compared to non-low income Evergreen students, 65.1% for
ELA and 59.8% for math. Comparatively, students at North Pines Middle School achieved pro昀椀cient
scores at rates of 27.1% for ELA and 23.6% for Math with low-income students at 23.8% and 19.3%
respectively and non-low income students at 35.8% and 35.1% respectively. North Pines has the
highest percentage of low-income students in the Central Valley School District.

in Eastern Washington. In 2022-2023, Central Valley School District had 14,726 students. Districtwide, 52.1% of middle school students were considered low income. Evergreen Middle School is
