Allele: Answer An alternative form of a gene occupying a pair of chromosomes, one coming from the mother and one coming from the father. -Each codes for a specific inherited characteristic such as, eye color, hair texture, and blood type. 5. Dominant Allele: Answer The trait or gene that is fully expressed in the phenotype of an individual.
